Riverfest 2015 - part 2

Part II of Riverfest this year started with an awesome day-date with my hubby! Have I ever mentioned how amazing my parents are?? They are awesome and watch the kids so much for it and I really don't think I can ever express how truly grateful we are for them!!
We started at a new taco and tequila bar called District Taqueria - it was delicious!!
Then we hopped to a few more of our favorite spots we used to hit more frequently when we didn't have kiddos! ;)
Later that night we picked the kids up and headed down to the Old Town Square for some fun in the fountains.
Who's crazy kids are these?! Ha ha ha.
Dom was a little chilly so I got some fun picture of him trying to do a ''tounge taco'' as we like to call it - almost there buddy!
This little guy has so many expressions!
Wonder where he gets it from? ;)
We got the kids dried off and walked over to one of our favorite sushi places - Hana Café - yum!
Then we ventured down to some more activites - mainly the ferris wheel! It had quite a line!
 Finally on it!
 My loves.
This quick video sums up what Dom thought about the ferris wheel - crazy awesome!

I mean it is a pretty awesome view!
Then we climbed on the tailgate of Robert's truck on top of a parking garage and watched the fireworks - perfect ending to a great day!

Riverfest 2015 - part 1

This year we started off Riverfest with a little children's theatre performance of the Three Little Kittens (sorry for the super blurry picture!)
After the show we stopped in at River City Brewery for some delicious pizza and mama and gma snuck in a beer too! ;)
Best mac and cheese ever!
 One enthusiastic thumb up!
We then headed to rest up and get ready for more fun activities later in the day!
On the way down to the events we watched the fountain show.
The kids rodeo, ice cream social and wet and wild disco party were all this night! We started at the rodeo...
This one only had a left handed club - so he gave it a go!
Petting Zoo!
This is always a favorite - water gun shootout!
This lady was pretty awesome!
I even got a video!
More fun!
Dom's 1st try on a bull - yee haw cowboy!!
and Elena is an old pro now!
After we hit all the fun stops at the rodeo we headed down the river.
and ended up at some hilarious photo props!
 Hula Hoop time!
Finally we made it to the ice cream social! Woo hoo!
Elena asked to bring a bag of oreos to put in her ice cream - dare I say I have raised a genius!! :)
 Wet and Wild party fun!
Now that's a way to cool off!
One last stop that we apparently missed the first go round at the rodeo - tractor races!

What a long, fun day of Riverfest fun!
