Flashback Friday - Little Swimmer.

Since we have had lots of little kiddos over to swim lately we have gotten out some of Elena's old pool toys. She insisted on getting in this little floaty and as soon as I took the picture I instantly thought of a picture that I took when she was younger...

Amazing how much changes in just two short years!! :)

Flashback Friday - Nettie.

One of my bestest friends ever is celebrating her (first) 29th birthday today! So I thought I would share some fun memories of her on this Flashback Friday! Lynette and I had almost every class together freshman year of high school. It's a good thing our last names are so close in the alphabet because we were forced to sit next to eachother in every class we had together - otherwise we may have never gotten to know eachother so well! And soon out teachers forced us to NOT sit next to eachother as we talked a little too much for their liking! ;) Here is a pic of us from freshman year! So young!


Linds, Lynette and I were the three musketeers back in the day - especially our last two years of high school. We did everything with eachother! I found this picture that is from Lynette's birthday where Linds and I surprised her with a homemade cake! I so wish we lived close enough to drop by with a cake this year!

Even though we don't get to see eachother as often as we once did - I still feel an incredibly strong connection with Lynette. She really is like a sister to me and always will be. Each time we get together it seems like no time has passed and we pick up right where we left off!

I am also happy to say that the three musketeers are as close as ever as well! We are even planning a fun getaway together in the very near future! I can't wait!


I have some amazing people in my life and am happy that two of my oldest friends are still two of my closest friends! Happy 29th Birthday Lynette!!

Flashback Friday - Basketball.

Tonight is our Newman Women's Basketball Alumni Game. I am slightly nervous considering I haven't really touched a basketball since I got pregnant with Elena - that would be 3 years ago!! I thought I would dig up some old basketball pics to reminisce before getting together with everyone tonight~

I had to dig around in the garage to find my old knee brace! (I'm #15 and Chelsea also had a matching one back in the day!) I doubt that I will be playing hard enough that I need it but I figure I would take it just in case!

I know I have showed you in the past how much Elena resembles my mom in a few of her baby pictures, but after I snapped this picture the other day I knew it looked just like one of my mom's pictures again! What is funny is that I don't really feel like I look like her very much - not now or in my baby pictures either! Genetics are pretty amazing aren't they?! :)

With Elena's 2nd Birthday right around the corner, I have been thinking about how much she has grown and changed in these past 2 years! It is unbelieveable!! Since I started my blog when she was 6 months old, I thought I would share some pictures from when she was just an itty bitty baby! :)

Flashback Friday - Adrian.

I thought I would Flashback this Friday to Elena's cousin Adrian. I'm not sure what it is about him but she absolutely LOVES him!! It is so funny how she was immediately drawn to him and even though it has been almost a year since she has seen him she totally acted the same way while we were down visiting last week.


She literally lights up when he comes into a room and gets a huge smile and yells Adrian!

It was so sweet, Adrian would say to her "Do you love Adrian?" and she would get this big smile and say "Yeah" . :)
