Winefest {2015}

For our anniversary this year (8 years!!!) we decided to go to a fun event called Winefest with our good friends Nate and Mary. You get to walk around and sample delicious wines, yummy restaurant samples and even chocolate and champagne! My kind of night!
 We had so much fun!
Cheers to 8 years!
Love ya babe and looking forward to many many more years of fun together!

6 years.

It is so hard to believe that not only have I known Robert for 10 years, but we have officially been married for 6 years!! Where does the time go? Amazing how are lives have grown and been blessed since then. We had a nice date night and got to enjoy some drinks on the patio, dinner and a movie.
Happy Anniversary Babe!
I do have to add what Elena drew for us before we left -- a picture of us, on our wedding day, getting married under the big tree at Botanica! Too cute!
Then she drew an udated one with her and her brother in it too! Love it!

5 years later!

5 years ago on April 27, Robert and I got married! I just can't believe how the time has flown! What's even more crazy is that we have been together for 9! We had big plans to rent a condo on Myrtle Beach for a week to celebrate but the little man in my belly has put a slight change in our plans! So instead we opted for a nice date night together while my parents watched Elena for the night.
Elena wanted to be able to do this so bad that she practiced in the mirror until she could! :) We had to document it for her!
We decided to try a couple new things this evening and ventured to a nearby town to try out an Italian restaurant I had heard lots of great things about, Luciano's.
It was really yummy and definitely worth the drive! Check out this bowl that the salad came in - made of cheese!! Hello!
We enjoyed our dinner and ended with a white chocolate creme brulee - which was wonderful!
For another new adventure we decided to hit up the new casino! We actually had a really fun time and didn't lose too much! ;)
Happy Anniversary to my wonderful hubby! You are an amazing man and a wonderful father! I love you more and more everyday.

Cheers to 4 years!

Robert and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary this past Wednesday! I can't believe how fast the years are flying by! We had a fun date night on Friday to celebrate! All dressed up and ready to go~
We went to Paint the Towne, but this time the painting was a couples painting! We each painted one side of a picture that went together! It was a blast!
Even though he may try to deny it, Robert really got into it! ;)
Our masterpiece in progress~
Here are all the paintings from the evening. I also had to take a picture of the scary eyes that Robert decided to add to his side of the painting!
Ta-da! Not too shabby!
Then we went for sushi and drinks at one of our favorite spots, Hana Cafe - yum!
Happy Anniversary to my wonderful hubby!! I am so thankful to have you in my life. Love you babe!!

3 years and counting!

Today Robert and I have been married for 3 years! I can't believe how fast these past few years have gone by - but I guess that is a good thing because time flies when you are having fun, right? :) I am more in love with him every day and am very excited for what the upcoming years will bring us!
Happy Anniversary Babe ~ I love you!

Flashback Friday - Rehearsal Dinner.

Since Robert and I are coming up on our 3 year anniversary next week, I thought I would reminisce about one of my favorite parts of the weekend when we got married~our rehearsal dinner. We invited all our close friends and family over to celebrate with us at our home and had a giant bar-b-que! It was so much fun - and the food was oh so delicious thanks to Robert, his mom and all of his sisters!

We were so thankful that most of our families could be there - as well as some of our really great friends!

I really can't believe that these pictures are from 3 years ago - it seems like yesterday!!

Flashback Friday - Old Chicago.

For those of you who don't know, Old Chicago is a very special place for Robert and I. It is actually where we first met. I was working as a waitress at the downtown location and my roommate was dating this guy who just happened to be Robert's roommate. They came in one night and Robert asked me out... and the rest is history! We went to a movie the next day and soon became inseparable! 6 years ago this week was when we went on our first date! Amazing how time flies. Here are some early pictures of us as a couple. How young do we look in these?!

This picture was taken at Old Chicago Downtown - it was and still is a favorite place for us!
Then 3 years ago on Sept 5th Robert proposed - at Old Chicago where we had met three years before. It was very, very sweet and I will never forgot that day! I believe that I was complaining that he wasn't very romantic for taking me there for our anniversary - obviously he had me fooled! Here is the picture we took right after we became engaged.
Needless to say, Old Chicago is one of our favorite restaurants! :)

Flashback Friday - 40th Anniversary.

This Friday I want to take time to congratulate my Aunt Marge and Uncle Jim on their upcoming 40th Wedding Anniversary!! I have talked about them in previous posts as you may have seen. They are a wonderful couple and have always been a big part of my life. I love and respect them so much. They have been through a lot these past 40 years and have still managed to maintain a truly happy relationship with each other and I really look up to them for that. They were married on June 21, 1969. Isn't this a great picture?

This one is so adorable - the candid ones are always the best, they really capture the emotion at the time!

And here is a recent one from a trip they took to the Grand Tetons - their pictures we so beautiful! I would love to go sometime!

On Sunday their online announcement will be available which tells more about how they met, has pictures and you can even sign their guest book to tell them congratulations - just type "Pickett" in to search for their page. Congratulations to them and here's to many more happy years together!!

2 years.

Two years ago today Robert and I were married. :) I can't believe how much has changed in two years! We obviously have a beautiful new baby girl - Miss Elena! But we have grown so much in the past two years and our bond has become even stronger. I love him every bit as much as I did then and am so thankful that he is in my life. For my friends and family who weren't present at our wedding, I though I would post some of my favorite pictures from our wedding day.

Almost all of these were taken by our photographer, Brandi Coldwell, who owns Captured Expressions Photography. She did a great job and I would highly reccomend her to anyone looking for a photographer -- http://www.capturedexpressionsphotography.com/ -- she also did our engagement, maternity and new baby pics too!
Happy Anniversary babe! I love you and am looking forward to many more years and adventures to come!
