Great Friends.

Each year we get together with some of our close friends and have our own mini Christmas with them. We are so lucky to have such great friends and we love spending time with them during the holidays! We spent some time with Marie before she headed home to Louisiana for Christmas. Here is Elena checking out the presents under the tree.

Helping Mommy open her present.

A sweet jacket! Thanks T!

Then Elena helped Marie open some of her presents.

Elena got some cute hair bows, gloves and the cutest coat I have ever seen from Aunt Marie! (This picture doesn't do the coat justice - might have to have a little photo shoot to show you all just how cute it is!)
Robert got this very nice Texas polo shirt - he can't wait to wear this while golfing!
Elena and I with Marie~

As Marie headed out of town one of my good friends and college roommate and basketball teammate Chelsea came into town. Rowe, Kristy and I met her for dinner at On The Border. We had a blast talking about the old days and catching up with each other!

For the last 3 or 4 years on Christmas Eve we have gone to our friends Clyde and Twila's house for dinner and presents. This year, as the snow started falling we headed out to their house. Check out their gorgeous tree!
Time to eat~everything was delicious!

After dinner we relaxed~

and watched the snow fall.
Then it was time for presents!

Elena was pretty thrilled with her Elmo Live!!

CJ's first Christmas!!

Clyde wanted a real gun for Christmas so Robert got him this toy one! Ha ha ~ it's ok though, there is a gift card attached to the back to put towards a real one.
Yum...chocolate!
Elena constantly wanted in CJ's pack and play~ she was pretty funny!
On the way home from their house we saw a car stuck in the ditch, so Robert pulled over to see if we could help. It was an 89 year old lady who was trapped and had no cell phone! We couldn't get her car out but we did give her a ride to her family's home ~ thank goodness we came along! What a great example of Christmas spirit that Robert was able to show Elena - and what a wonderful husband I have!
