Elena had a little lamb.

Today my mom and I decided to take Elena to the zoo. We wanted to go to some of the parts that Elena hadn't been to yet. First stop - the petting zoo. Elena was so excited!! She had the biggest grin on her face the whole time we were there. It was so adorable!

She has a couple of toy lambs that she has always liked to play with -- apparently she likes the real thing even more!!

She doesn't look to thrilled here because I made her stop petting the animals to take a picture with me!

Oh well! Back to the animals. We definitely need to work on being gentle with them! She kept trying to grab their ears!

And this one turned towards her and head butted the fence after she grabbed it! We decided it was probably time to go after that!

Then we went inside to check out the horses.

Then over to see the camels.

Look at these two lovebirds!! Too funny!

These little baby goats were so cute!

This bigger one came up to say hi to Elena!

Time to wash our hands after all that petting!

Apparently these Rhinos were pretty hot...

because they started rolling around in the mud to cool off - it was pretty funny to watch these big ol' animals rolling around like puppies!

And of course the zoo is a great place to practice walking!!

She is getting better and better - next time she might even be leading us around the zoo! (I bet she heads straight to the lambs!)
