About 4 years ago Robert and I went to New York. I had to go to New Jersey for training for work so Robert flew up when I was done and we stayed a few extra days. Neither of us had ever been so it was very fun! We also go to see some of Robert's family that live on Long Island while we were there. This is the Ferry we took to Ellis Island - very appropriate!
These are lists of all the immigrants that came though Ellis Island.
We found my Great-Grandfather's name - Antonio Martelli, who came with his family from Italy! Pretty amazing feeling to know that he was at this very spot!
Here is Rockefeller Center - it would be so beautiful at Christmas time!
Some art on one of the streets.
This picture was taken in Central Park - very beautiful and so weird that it is really the only green in the city.
While we were in Times Square there was a lady with a really nice camera taking pictures so we asked her to take a picture of us with our not so nice digital camera. She then offered to take a few pictures with her super nice/expensive camera and e-mail them to me! How nice is that?!? This is one from her.
We had this caricature drawn of us while we were in Times Square. Pretty funny! Do you think it looks like us?
We did just about every tourist thing that you can do in a matter of 3 days. Including; Ground Zero, ChinaTown (with bootleg purses!), Little Italy, Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty, mastered the subway system, Empire State Building, Central Park, 5th Avenue, rode the Tramway to Long Island, the nightlife, we even ended up spending the night in Penn Station (that is another story though!) We were so tired! The only things we didn't get to do that we really wanted to were visit the museums, a Yankee's game, a Broadway show and to go to the top of the Statue of Liberty. I would love to go back again!!
