Most of December was ridiculously cold. I mean below-freezing-temperatures-kinda-cold. So we had been waiting for a nice day to pop up so that we could venture out to Illuminations at Botanica and be somewhat comfortable! That day finally came and we headed out to Botancia and Sarah and Jack came along too! Here is our bundled up group!
The kids were loving it!
Isn't Jack's Viking hat awesome? :)
We walked around for a bit and then we got to visit Santa! I didn't even try to sit Dom on his lap this time! You can see he was still unsure about the whole thing! ;)
Jack is not a fan of Santa just yet either...
Elena went back one more time because she forgot to tell him what she wanted for Christmas!
Then we headed out for the light show in the meadow -- so amazing! The kids were fascinated.
Elena made me take a picture of her in this circle because Robert and I have a picture in this from our wedding day. Silly girl! (PS - I think she looks so old here!)
The we headed to the Children's garden where there was another awesome display set to music! I think these icicle lights on the trees were my favorite part!
Elena helped push the boys through this little rainbow - they thought this was pretty awesome!
A quick stop indoors to let Elena write a letter to Santa - never mind that she just told him in person! Ha ha.
The kiddos were fascinated with this pretty purple tree!
Then we started heading back to the entrance.
Check out the moon - it was a gorgeous night!!
Elena insisted on a picture with Santa's sleigh but the boys were definitely done and ready for dinner by this time - so she got a solo photo shoot! ;)
