Well I managed to glaze right over Dom's 16 month mark with all the holiday busyness so let me catch you up on the past 2 months in this post.
He has finally started talking more!! There are new words everyday and he pretty much repeats anything we say.
He has even started putting 2 words together -- all done, thank you, love you, bye-bye Daddy, etc...
He has gotten very good at playing on his own! He will sit and play with cars or stacking toys for several minutes all by himself!
He is getting very good at his body parts and can point them out.
He loves to dance and even tries to sing along to many songs.
He adores his sister and follows her around like a shadow.
One of his new favorite things to do is stand on Elena's scooter and shot "go" until someone comes and pushes him!

He wants what he wants when he wants it and he will let you know!! Looks like we have some work cut out for us on stopping this before he thinks he can get away with temper tantrums!
When we ask him if he wants something or to do something he will give you a definite yes or no - he is very decisive.
He is still an excellent sleeper but has cut down to one long nap a day - usually 1.
5-2.5 hours. And he still sleeps about 12 hours each night! Awesome.

He loves his Daddy so much! He mimics and tries to imitate everything he does. Robert was putting some cologne on the other day and Dominic pointed at his neck and kept saying, ''me, me'' until he got some too! So adorable.
He is a serious goofball, always making funny faces or playing games or just seeing if he can make you laugh. So much fun!
He has 14 teeth and numbers 15 and 16 are almost in too!
Every time we are in the car and come to a stop he immediately yells "GO!" We are now working on what the colors red and green mean - ha ha!

He is starting to love planes too and will pick up toys and zoom them through the air pretending they are flying - with sound effects and all!Speaking of sound effects, he is getting very good at animal sounds! On his own he can do - cow, horse, dog, sheep, goat, elephant (cutest sound ever!!), cat, lion and pig (he doesn't say oink, he actually makes the snorting sound!). I need to get these on video before I forget!!
He has a major obsession with blueberries! He would eat a whole pint if I let him!
He loves to play with the wooden train set that we have down stairs. He will stand and yell at the baby gate until we let him go down to play!
He has a sweet nurturing side too - I caught him trying to feed this baby doll all on his own. SO sweet!

He is becoming so independent and wants to do things on his own - food and drink are all him now, wants to help with toys and putting things away and even tries to get hats and shoes on.
He is already growing out of his size 6 shoes! If he is like a puppy - we are going to have a big kid someday! :)
He is still the cutest little boy ever! ;)
