...but we still decided to venture out to the zoo this weekend! We actually hadn't been in a few weeks so when I asked Elena if she wanted to go to the Zoo she ran to the door and was yelling - animals, animals! :) We tried to check out some different animals this time. She loved the turtles! Who knew?
We also got a nice close-up view of the bears. As you can see here - Elena has definitely got my Mom's skinny legs!
We even got to see the elephant get a bath! I think we were ready for the trainer to spray us with the hose too!
This giant one was outside getting a drink. I can't imagine how hot that shell has to be!
She always asks to see the penguins. These two were right up by the screen so she got a very good look at them!
She was running along counting the penguins in the picture here. She is doing so great with her counting - she can now do 1 thru 9 all by herself with out any help! (I have no idea why but she doesn't seem to like the number 10!)

The Zoo is one of Elena's favorite places. Everytime we pass the exit that you take to get there she always points and says - Zoo over there! :)
