Cinco de Mayo!

We were not planning on doing anything for Cinco de Mayo this year, except maybe have a few margaritas!! But our little party planner Elena had other plans! She was asking me how to spell things and I found out she was making an invitation for her best friend to come over for a Cinco de Mayo party! Ha! Since we didn't have anything planned, and she lives across the street,  we decided to go ahead and have a little ''fiesta''. I mean - Elena had already made a party banner! (This was her reasoning!) I decided to make enchiladas and also decided since we were already having a party I might as well invite my friends too! So I invited Rowe and her kids and Marie over too! Now it really was a party! Here is Elena's banners that she worked so hard on! :) (I helped her with the outline of the letters but it was all her idea!)

We had chips, guacamole, salsa, margaritas, Mexican beers and homemade enchiladas and rice - yummy!!

 

 It turned into a really fun night, especially for Elena and I'm glad we went ahead and let her throw her party! :)

I didn't even get a picture of Robert this night! He has this crazy sombrero/cowboy hat that is hilarious - but he was hiding from my camera!

 I really enjoyed catching up with two of my best friends!

 My how our Cinco de Mayo parties have changed over the years!! ;) For the better of course!
