Memorial Day 2010.

As you may know from last year, we have a tradition of going out to my Grandparent's grave site each Memorial Day at Resthaven cemetery. We go there because each year they put flags on each Veteran's grave and they also fly a full-size flag for each Veteran with their name on it. Even though we go every year, the beauty and meaning of seeing all those flags flying never ceases to amaze me. First we took some red, white and blue flowers to put on Poppo and Nana's grave~

Then we set out to find their flags~

Amazingly enough, their flags were literally 20 feet from their headstone! You can see their two flags here and if you look closely you can see their headstone in between the flags in front of the hedge. It was an amazing thing to see.
