Brownsville Children's Museum.

One of the days of our vacation we decided to take Elena to the zoo in Brownsville - a larger city that was only about 30 min away. We set off in the morning, as we were driving we kept seeing billboards for the Children's Museum of Brownsville, so we decided to call the 800 number on the signs. We found out it was all geared towards toddler age so we decided to give it a try! There was a neat fountain Elena liked in front of the entrance.

After we walked in she was immediately drawn to this truck. She kept saying drive, drive, drive, Elena drive! Makes me a little nervous for when she can really drive!

This was a little restaurant area that Elena just adored!

Pretending to farm!
and back to the truck... :)

Fishing on the boat!
Checking out how tornadoes are made.

Back to the truck...again...this time Robert pretended it had a flat tire and made Elena fix it! Too funny!

Elena and Robert loved this cool Velcro shape wall!

This place had everything, she loved it. We went during the week and there was only one other kid there playing, it was like we had the place all to ourselves!

Paging Dr. Alvarez!

Yep, back to the truck again!

Helping 'Bonita' brush her teeth!

Building with some really cool magnetic shapes. I googled them and found them here. A little pricier than I expected but it does seem like a really good, educational toy so maybe we will get her some when she is a little older.

One last ride, this time the whole family!

This place was great! We had never taken her to a children's museum, I'm glad we chose to try something new! We tried to get a picture by the fountain on the way out and (as you can see by Elena touching her head) it started raining! There were hardly any clouds in the sky - it was bizarre.
It literally poured so hard and so fast that we had to take shelter at the archway behind us in the picture, we couldn't even make it to the car! After about 10 min it totally cleared off and was gorgeous again!
