Dancing kiddos.

My kids love music! Check out some of their dance moves...
and now for some car dancing. A little Night at the Roxbury action for Dom in this one! :) (watch out this one is way louder than the last one!)

fountain fun.

This year we had fun at the local splash park!
This was Dominic's first time and he wasn't sure what to think of all this splashy water!
The next time we went we decided to hit Sonic happy hour up on the way. :)

This little guy was so much braver this time!! In fact, he loved every minute of it!

Fun times!!

13 months.

Even though I am out of monthly stickers :( -- I am still going to keep documenting how Dom is growing and changing. Babies just change so much in the first couple years and I absolutely love being able to look back on what Elena did as she grew up! So I'm going to try to keep it going!
-- At 13 months Dominic --
- has mastered walking, in fact he is now pretty much running!
- jabbers all the time but doesn't use to many words. He says Mama, Dada, Car-Car (always says that one twice - so cute!), Layna, Nana (banana), yeah, Grandpa (or something that sounds very similar!) and cracker.
- he loves going to the park now because he can actually run around and play and even go down the slide!
 - he is able to sign when he wants more and he just started getting the hang of please as well. We are working on thank you now.
- he has 8 teeth plus one that is about 1/2 way in in the back, he is gnawing on any and everything so I have a feeling he has some more on the way very soon.
- loves to dance and listen to music.
- he looks so old with his big boy haircut!
- has a fun personality, he is going to be my little jokester
- one of his favorite things to do it throw his arms up in the air and run and fall on you (or a pillow) it is funny!
- he is a snuggly little guy and loves to cuddle!
- this boy can eat, and eat, and eat! He will snack all day if we would let him!
- he absolutely loves reading books - we had not been reading to him near as much as we did to Elena so we made sure that we started reading more and now he loves it, at least 100 times a day he will bring me a book and want to sit on my lap - it is great!

Chalkfest.

We went to one of the coolest events in August this year, it was called Wichita Chalkfest. I heard about it on Facebook and was so glad that I did because I knew it would be something the kids would enjoy. (and I am all up for trying new things to do with them, especially when it's FREE!) The event was down in Old Town square and tons of sidewalk chalk artists took over the area
There was also plenty of space for kids to create their own masterpieces!
 Elena was really into it!
Dominic was more interested in eating the chalk. ;)

Check out Elena's masterpiece! A mermaid!

Thank goodness there were fountains to cool off in because it was hot!

After we cooled off we grabbed a bite to eat at a restaurant in the square, then we went back out to check out how the art looked. So amazing!

We came across an artist who created this scene by a stairway so you could take a picture from overhead and look like you were flying away with the balloons!! So awesome! This was my favorite part!

Dominic just laid there and posed! The artist asked me to text him this picture because he is the littlest one he had ever had pose this well! Yay Dom!
Then we hit up the sno cones and headed out. This was a self service machine - E was in heaven!! THey also had flavors in the truck and I tried wedding cake - oh man, I will never go back to another flavor again - it was amazing!
and Dominic...well, he was worn out from all the fun!
What an awesome time and a new event that we will be taking part in again next year!! Can't wait!!
