Downtown Denver

After the sightseeing we had big plans to get to Denver and go to the aquarium and all this fun stuff but by the time we got there we were tired! Ha ha! We checked into our hotel and ended up on the 21st floor right in the middle of downtown! It was awesome and the kids were in awe!
Dom would have loved the aquarium I'm sure but he sure enjoyed relaxing and making himself at home with his planes. :)
We rested up and then decided to venture out downtown.
We had to go to our favorite place to eat ever - Bubba Gumps!!
Cheers to family time!
The kids did great so we ordered them a couple build-your-own sundaes!
Downtown Denver is quite an interesting place! Lol - lots of crazy characters all around!

The kids got comfy and cozy in OUR bed - ha ha!
They totally crashed and looked so comfortable that we let them stay there and slept on the pull out sofa bed - how good of parents are we?

Meanwhile we spent our evening watching TV, hanging out and trying to figure out what in the world this cutout in the shower is for - we determined easy access to your beer! :)
The next morning we relaxed and watched some TV and had a nice breakfast and then decided to head home.
We stopped at this great rest stop with climbing equipment for the kids! A perfect place to stretch those legs!!
And what road trip is complete without a blizzard?! Yummy!!
We got home in good time and were glad that we took the opportunity to have a spontaneous mini family vacation! Can't wait until the next one!!

Garden of the Gods

Our first stop was to the Garden of the Gods - a place that Robert has been to and has always wanted to go back and take us - and now I know why - it is amazing!!
First lets stop for Dominic's senior pictures though!! Ha ha ha! What a poser!
The kids were so excited to be climbing on rocks! Like I said the views were incredible!!

This little Miss thought she was the guide!
Robert and I traded off on wrangling this one! Geez! He is quick like a spider monkey on these rocks!
I took some pics on my phone but after seeing them on the ''good'' camera I realized I need to break it our more often! The quality is no comparison!! But I did love this picture of my honey taking a picture of the kiddos. :)

Hey there 12 year old - what did you do with my little girl???
And don't get me started on this little adventurer! He's been talking about climbing rocks ever since!
Ready, Set...GO!
Ok Dad, I'm tired!

This was one of the most fun times that we have had adventuring together as a family!
