4th of July {2013}

Warning: we celebrated the 4th this year for about 4 days so this is a very long, picture-filled post! :) We decided to let the kiddos have fun a couple nights before the 4th with some of the small fireworks. Dominic was in awe. Lol.
His favorite soon became the snaps - hey, anything you can throw, right?
It was a perfect night to roast s'mores too!
Dom was mostly just interested in the marshmallows though.
Elena asks to do s'mores every other night in the summer so she was in heaven!
 Silly kids.
Then we headed out for the ''little'' fireworks. Elena was very brave this year...
and rewarded with pink smoke! :) She loved it! (note to self, by more of these next year!)

On the actual 4th we got all dressed up and headed down to out local parade.

 A real princess!
Dom was fascinated by the semi that came through!

After the parade there is a ton of kids activities in the park.

 My little monkey -
Can you say deja vu? This was Elena at her first 4th of July in the Park! (2009)
Daddy was awesome and waited in a ridiculously long line for the face painter while I took Elena around to the little games. What a great Daddy! She got to the front and requested a rainbow butterfly...

Pretty darn good if you ask me! (May have to have this painter come to a birthday party in the future! She was awesome!)

Then we did a few more games.

Check out that little quarterback!

On the way home we passed an awesome car show and stopped for a bit. I only got a pic of the sweet Camaros but there were tons of amazing cars! One of the best car shows Ive ever seen!
While the kids (and Daddy) napped. I got to work whipping up some treats to take to a party we were heading to later that night.
Elena and little Molly ready to get their swim on!
 Marie and her Mom, Liz.
There was lots of food, drinks, swimming and fun. And some ladderball games of course.
Dominic was fascinated.
There was even a trampoline! What more could a 4.5 year old want?
 Night swimming before fireworks.
Little Man did not make it to Fireworks. :( But that is ok, he partied hard! :)
Love this picture of Robert and I - definitely my new favorite!
But wait that's not all. Our good friends called us the next day and just happened to have a ton of leftover fireworks....well, who can say no to that? :)

 Lets do these guys!
Dominic found a box of cars/planes/tanks and was in heaven with his new ''toys''. :)

I would call it a pretty awesome 4th of July!
