Exploration Place Fieldtrip.

There are so many activities at the end of the school year and I am thankful that Elena still wants me to come to as many as I can! So I took off work to head to Exploration place with her class! She got to ride the bus there and I met them there. She thought that was pretty awesome.

There were several parents that attended so we were able to split the girls up into groups of three. I honestly can't imagine having too many more than that at once!

After lots of exploring it was time for some science - they learned a lot about tornadoes!

 They got supplies to build a shelter together --

 

and then got to see how it stood up to strong winds!

 Proud to report her goup's house passed the tornado test! Woo hoo!

The we went back out to explore more -

 and this was the favorite activity by far...lol! I guess it was all about tornadoes today!

So blessed to be able to take time off and join Elena for her field trip! I am also going to enjoy the fact that she still wants me to come to her activities!!

1st Kindergarten Fieldtrip! {Pumpkin Patch}

Last Friday was Elena's first Kindergarten fieldtrip and they went to the pumpkin patch - I requested the morning off so Dom and I could join for at least part of the day! She was so excited and had been counting down the days so I decided to surprise her with pumpkin pancakes for breakfast!! :)

 Good thing I made something special cause this girl (and her feet-ha!) were sleeping comfortably!

 Dom was so excited to be with her class and Elena was very excited that we were there too!

 First stop, the corn maze! Holy Moly - this thing was hard!!

 My little airplane flew his way through the maze -

 Meanwhile guess who insisted on being the ''leader'' of the group? ;)

 After we escaped the maze (we ended up backtracing to the entrance - ha ha ha!) we ran around a little and then headed out to the pumpkin pacth!

 It was the most beautiful day!!

 

The kids searched and searched for just the right pumpkins!

By this time Dom was whining and ready for a nap. Poor guy just wanted to go play on the inflatables but the class wasn't doing that until after lunch! It did not work out well for him - good thing we plan to go another time with Daddy!! Dom and I headed home when it was time for lunch. Luckily Elena's teacher took some fun pics for me of her enjoying the afternoon!  

Yay for a first fieldtrip!!

 



Pumpkins in the Park.

Elena's preschool had a pumpkins in the park field trip that I got to take her too! She had a blast playing at the park with all of her friends.

 and Dominic even got to come!

 He thought he was big stuff playing with all the older kids. :)

 Grandma joined us too! (She's so fun!)

  After the kids played for a while we hiked over to a little gazebo where they got to enjoy a story...

 and search for pumpkins!

Found the perfect one! :)

It was such a beautiful day and I am so glad I got to go and enjoy time with my little pumpkins!

1st Field Trip.

I know this will be the first of many but I was really excited that I was able to join Elena's preschool class on her 1st field trip! It was at C-Arrow Stables and all the kiddos had a blast. They got to enjoy some free time on the playground when we first got there. (I don't think any of these kids had ever been on a metal slide!)

Then it was off to the petting area. 

Then they headed over to meet Aladdin, the camel. 

Next up was pony rides! She got to ride twice and chose the two polka dotted horses to ride on. 

Feeling pretty brave!

Next they got to brush a couple of ponies. Elena loved this! 

My mom got to come too and I am so glad that she was able to be there! 

Snack time! Pretty chaotic but adorable!

What an exciting field trip!

Finally she got to pick out a pumpkin and take a picture with her class.
