Father's Day {2015}

 For Father's Day this year we decided to head to Botanica for a kite festival!!
 It was a hot day but there were a lot of people (and kites!) there.
 The kids have really been into kites lately so we knew they would love this!
It was a little tough to get the kites going because we were kind of down in a valley - but once we got it high enough in the air we were set!
Elena giving it a go.
Dom's turn! He was a little worn out from the heat and preferred a seat on Daddy's shoulders.
 See those bouncy houses in the back? You knew it was just a matter of time before the kids wanted in!
 So they bounced...
and I watched...
and they bounced some more...
and Daddy ended up being the only one flying the kites! Ha ha!
Dom tried again and ended up accidently letting go and that thing took off into the trees! Daddy took off after it and ended up scaling a tree to get to the string but right as he was grabbing his knife to cut it loose another gust took it away! Bummer! But seriously - what a great Dad! I think he definitely deserves this title for everything that he does for his family! Love you Babe and Happy Father's Day!!

Father's Day {2014}

Robert had been out of town for work but got home just in time for Father's Day this year!! The kids were so excited to see him and give him his gifts that they couldn't even wait a day! (They are so much like their Daddy sometimes its scary - he can never wait to give a present!)
Elena put a lot of thought into her creations and I helped her with a little collage project too! Robert loved them all!!

Dom and I got him this - because he is the grill master of course!! ;)
The next day was Father's day and we hit up On The Border for a delicious lunch drinks for us and food for the kids! Robert introduced me to a new beer which is a combo of two of my favorites - Summer Shandy and Blue Moon - Yum!

The kids were very good - so we indulged them with the iPad.
Then we headed over to a sports bar for us to eat and to watch some of the Spurs game! Go Spurs Go!!
Happy Father's Day Babe - you are the best Daddy our kids could ever have! Love you.

Father's Day

If I thought June was busy, July seems to be flying by even faster! I need to catch up before I jump ahead so let me start with Father's Day. We hung out together as a family and then took my parents for a ridiculously yummy dinner at a hibachi grill. This was Dominic's first time and he was excited!
Elena is starting to master the chop sticks!

Dom was fascinated! -

and he loved it!
Elena was so close to catching a shrimp in her mouth!

  Happy Father's Day to the two best Dad's that I know. We love you!!
