South Padre Island!

On Friday we finally made it to the Island! We were so excited!! This time we decided to rent a condo that can sleep 10 people instead of get a hotel room. They were the same price too - what a great choice! Most of Robert's family was able to come and join us and have fun! Even better, we were about 40 feet from this:


Yep! I never want to go to the beach again without being this close, it was so convenient! Here are Elena and her cousin Katelynn patiently waiting with their sand tools to head down to the beach.

Elena did not hesitate at all once we got down by the water!

She took off right towards the water, this little girl is fearless! A little scary with the ocean though, we had to keep an eye on her every second!

Enough water, time to play in the sand!

Behind the chairs to the right of the ramp is the condo we stayed in!! Awesome!!

Relaxing after the beach with Grandma Victoria! Also enjoying her new favorite snack - Doritos and bean dip! Yes it is very good - everyone down here eats it!

We caught a short firework show this evening. What a great finish to day #1!
