Elsa and Olaf.

I saw a blog post this year that gave me a great idea: get pictures of the kids in their Halloween costumes a few days before Halloween! This totally makes sense - because you know they are too excited about trick-or-treating and all the people coming to the door that they do not want to stand still and pose for you in their costume! So I took Elsa and Olaf out back a couple days before Halloween and got some adorable pictures of them all dressed up! :)

and I might have trained Dominic to say this ---

and of course we can't forget Elsa's favorite line :)

They had fun, I had fun, and I knew that on Halloween I wouldn't stress about getting a "perfect" (lol - year right) picture of them dressed up!

Halloween Goodies!

I always like making some spooky goodies with the kids each year. This year we ran short on time but managed to make some spooky spiders and some yummy sugar cookies! The spiders turned out pretty stinking cute!

The kids could do the entire spider all by themselves, which they loved!

 Ta-da! nevermind the toothpaste on the kitchen table! Ha!

Sugar cookies were set for a different day. I could not get the mixer away from Dom until it was licked clean!  

 Elena is really getting good at rolling and cutting the cookies.

 She even helped show little brother what to do!

 Since this was almost a month ago I have completely forgotten why we didn't ice the cookies on the same day! Lol - but the next day we decorated them! So fun!

Carving Pumpkins!

I was doing so good on keeping up with the blog and then I had to leave town for a week for work and life kept me busy and now it's almost time to leave for our Thanksgiving vacation and I haven't even blogged about Halloween!!!! Time to catch up! Lets start with pumpkin carving...

It was so much fun carving pumpkins with the kids this year - they are getting older and really starting to enjoy it more! And on a day that was almost 80 degrees what's not to love??

Elena is quite the goober with pulling out the guts! :)

While Dom was just not quite sure what to think of it! Ha ha!

 He let her do the dirty work for him!

 Last year I got some pumpkin ''gems'' on clearance after Haloween so she tried them out. Kinda like light brite for pumpkins!

She went with her initials - it came out pretty cool!

I finally got Dom to try and touch the pumpkin guts!

Elena is getting pretty good at the little carving tools!  

Dom opted to play with sidewalk chalk instead - lol!  

and run around like a plane of course!
