Flashback Friday - 2nd Family.

This weekend I get to go with my mom to Kansas City, she is going for work and Elena and I are taking advantage of the free ride and hotel to visit my 2nd family ~ the Dankert's! Lynette's family and I are very close and I was with them pretty much anytime I wasn't with my own family throughout high school! I even spent quite a few Thanksgivings with them. Here are a few fun pictures from some great times with this great family!

I thought I would post some recent pictures I have taken of my happy, smiley little girl. :) She brings so much joy to each and every day - she is the best!

Yes, in that last one she is sitting on Beary and has his arms around her so that he is giving her a hug! Too cute!

Checkup.

Today we went in for a regular check up for Miss Elena. The Doc confirmed what we already thought was true...we have a baby genius! :) Well, its not like she will be going to college by the time she is five or anything but she is quite the little smarty! Our Doctor even brought in another Doc so Elena could show off her stuff! She was mainly amazed at her crazy vocabulary and also her recognition of so many words - even Spanish ones! I think part of that is her love for reading books, which is what we did while we were waiting in the room.

Elena is 33 inches long which is the 95th percentile (no big surprise there!) and she weighs 22lbs 12oz - which is the 50th percentile. She eats like crazy so I think all that constant running around is what is keeping her slim! Other than that everything looks to be on schedule - except for her teeth of course! But you don't see little kiddos walking around without teeth so I'm sure they will be here before we know it. By the way her 3rd tooth is finally pushing through the top gum~too bad it's on the side and not in the middle! Looks like she will have a snaggle tooth for a little while! :)
While we were waiting she had quite a bit of fun with the paper on the table! She is such a fun little girl!

Keys.

Elena always wants my keys, but usually she just tries to chew on them or press the buttons on my keyless entry. So when she grabbed my keys and took off into the other room I just had to follow her and see what she was up to. She was doing this ~

What a smart little girl I have! Then the next day I caught her trying to start her cozy coupe with my keys too! Too funny!
